We’ve spent years camping in the Pacific Northwest — through sideways rain, dusty trailheads, and quiet mornings in the woods. Along the way, we’ve pitched more tents than we can count, and with every trip, we kept asking the same question: why does gear always feel like a tradeoff between comfort, style, and function? - Altara was created to change that.
We’re not a big company. We’re a small team of outdoor lovers, product nerds, and detail obsessives who decided to make the kind of gear we actually want to use. Every corner, seam, and zipper on our tent has been tested in real conditions, by real campers (us!). No guesswork. No shortcuts.
Our flagship product, the Arcadia 4P, reflects our approach: premium materials, lasting performance, and an honest price. We believe good design should be within reach — and that the things you bring outdoors should make you feel more connected, not more stressed.
We also believe in building with our community, not just for them. That’s why we launched through crowdfunding — to listen first, learn fast, and grow alongside the people who are here with us from day one.
